Every week take a trip with me around the world.
The Lord pressed upon my heart to do a little traveling. Although I personally am not able to travel. He has allowed many people to do it for us. Through their travels we can see the many places Jesus traveled. Explore with me the places the bible speaks of.

The Tunnel

A 1750-foot (530m) tunnel carved during the reign of Hezekiah to bring water from one side of the city to the other, Hezekiah's Tunnel together with the 6th c. tunnel of Euphalios in Greece are considered the greatest works of water engineering technology in the pre-Classical period.
Had it followed a straight line, the length would have been 1070 ft (335m) or 40% shorter.

The city of Ephesus was known for building the largest outdoor theatre in the world, capable of containing 50,000 spectators. The theatre exhibited the fights of wild beasts and of men with beasts. The above photo shows the theatre in the background with the Acadian Way (road) in the foreground.

The Sea of Galilee is fed by the Jordan River, rainfall and springs on the northern side. More properly designated a lake, the Kinneret (the OT and modern name) is 13 miles wide and 7 miles long. At its deepest point the lake is only 150 feet deep. The rabbis said of it, "Although God has created seven seas, yet He has chosen this one as His special delight."

Lukewarm in Laodicea

"And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; ¹⁵I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. ¹⁶So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth" (Rev 3:14-16)

Cheops' Pyramid

The pyramid of Cheops is the largest pyramid in Egypt. Previously it was estimated that it consisted of 2.3 million limestone blocks, but a recent project by the Supreme Council for Antiquities in Egypt estimates only one million stones were used. The majority of blocks weigh 2-5 tons; some weigh 15 tons. The granite blocks inside the burial chamber weigh 50 tons. The original height of the pyramid was 146 meters; today it is 137 meters high. The decrease in height is because the outer casing is missing.

The Pyramid of the Sun taken from the Pyramid of the Moon The pyramid of the sun was probably built about a century before Christ, and was completed 400 years later in 300 AD. It was restored in the 20th century.
